Accounting & General, accountants and business advisers, offer accountancy and tax services for businesses in Devon. Operating from our offices twixt Paignton, Brixham and Totnes – five miles from Torquay.

We prepare annual accounts, and complete self assessment or corporation tax returns for clients operating as either sole trade or partnership businesses or limited companies – with annual turnover from £35k to £6m. We also deal with all Companies House record keeping and filing.

We can prepare monthly accounts and quarterly Vat returns, and provide payroll services.

Leisure Business Support

Accounting & General offer financial advice to all Devon based businesses.

We are also able to provide commercial and operational support to leisure industry businesses, such as hotels, pubs, guest houses, restaurants, holiday parks, attractions and retailers.

Accounting & General is the accountancy, tax and business advice practice of Alan Knight FCCA, covering Devon and the south west, based twixt Brixham, Paignton and Totnes.

Alan qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1989, and held several senior finance roles in big and small businesses in Devon and Somerset.

As general manager of Tresco Estate, in the Isles of Scilly for nine years, a wider vision was gained, followed by shorter roles running a chain of gastro pubs, a visitor attraction and a group of hotels.
